Upgrades to the station building underway

With regular services successfully returned to Okehampton, focus has now turned to upgrading the station building ready for the summer 2022 season.

We recognise the role the station building had in bringing together the local community which is why we are excited to be transforming it into an asset that once complete will benefit both local and tourist groups.

The station will feature:

• Station café
• Toilets (managed by the café)
• Dartmoor National Park visitors centre
• Dartmoor Railway Association shop
• Heritage-style waiting room

The accessible toilet that was available for the opening weekend has been closed whilst these works take place. All trains to Okehampton have a fully accessible toilet and can be used at the station or on the move. If you are unable to use toilets on board the train, the nearest public toilets to the station can be found in the town centre, at the bottom of Station Road.
