Trains are running again on the Dartmoor Line after Network Rail successfully completed engineering work.On the edge of Okehampton, the first major stage of work took place to build the new Okehampton Interchange station. 300 metres of the single-line track was moved 90cm north to allow a new platform to be built alongside it. This week sees the first major stage in building the new Okehampton Interchange station. The primary goal is to install and complete the track drainage system and reposition the track so it’s suitable for the proposed platform. To help build the new Okehampton Interchange station, essential track work will take place from Saturday 8 March to Friday 14 March. Celebrating the Dartmoor Line’s third anniversary

Name revealed for new station

The name of the Dartmoor Line’s new station has been revealed in a special ceremony.Key figures from Great Western Railway, Network Rail, Devon County Council and West Devon Borough Council, along with Central Devon MP, Mel Stride, met at the site of the planned new station to unveil its name on Friday 11 May.To More “Name revealed for new station”
