Upgrade work 25 April to 9 May to enable hourly service

Track bed and drainage improvements on the Dartmoor Line will affect train services between Exeter and Okehampton from Monday 25 April to Monday 9 May. This work is essential to the introduction of hourly services on the Dartmoor Line.


Monday 25 April – Monday 9 May

Trains will continue to run between Exeter and Barnstaple. Replacement buses will run between Crediton and Okehampton.

Journey times will be extended and buses will depart at different times to normal. You can look up departure times (buses and trains) on the GWR journey planner.

Replacement bus stop locations:
Crediton: outside the Platform 2 entrance
Okehampton: front of the station


Tuesday 10 May – Saturday 14 May

Dartmoor Line train services resume with the existing two-hourly timetable.


Sunday 15 May onwards

Hourly Dartmoor Line train service begins. See PDF timetable.
